Waders with Frank King

Yesterday (Sunday 8/9/13), we met in Blennerville next to the Windmill for our Wader & Shore bird event with Frank King. The weather stayed dry and there was hardly a puff of wind although it is somewhat dull for the photographers in the group.

Frank's insights into the behaviours and the various adaptations each species of Bird had to eke out a living in this habitat was truly astounding. His quick wit and readiness to answer any question from the group made the afternoon a most memorable and enjoyable one.

We wish to say a big thank you from all at the Kerry Branch to Frank King and we look forward to catching up with Frank again for future events. We would also like to thank everyone who came out to participate in the the event.
